Near Doncaster in South Yorkshire and overlooking the River Don Conisbrough Castle has one of the finest keeps in England.
Sir Walter Scott set part of his book Ivanhoe at this castle which gives it an added romantic attraction to visitors. Our view is from the south and has the magnificent six buttressed keep on the right and the ruined chapel on the left.
The building is in the care of English Heritage.
