About Tattershall Castle
The great brick tower of this castle on the northern edge of the fenlands, dominates all the surrounding countryside. South of Horncastle and north-west of Boston the fifteenth century castle stands on the double moated site of a much earlier castle.
Rescued from dereliction in 1911 all six floors of the castle can now be explored.
The building is in the care of the National Trust.
